Polyisocyanate

Hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) has aliphatic structure. It is a preferred component in the production of non-yellowing polyurethane foams and coatings. Also common in hardener applications for automobile and aircraft paints.

Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) is common in the production of coatings, sealants, adhesives, and elastomers.

Methylenediphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) is often used in polyurethanes applications including coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers.

Isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) also has aliphatic structure and is widely used in the production of non-yellowing polyurethane foams and coatings. It has better hardness than HDI and the two are often used in a mixture for coatings.
